OUR JOURNEY

Founded in 2006, PUSH Athletix was established as a result of a passion for sports. In 2009, PUSH Athletix  became an official non-profit. The PUSH Executive Team  was involved in organized sports and teams as youth. What was once an avocation for this group has now become a vocation. The time and energy of those who coached us went to ensuring that we had the best experience possible. They taught us not only  how to have fun playing a sport, but discipline, teamwork, and the other elements that go with it such as good eating habits, exercise and of course... academic achievement. PUSH Athletix has active members and staff who participate in PUSH Athletix activities and several community partners who have committed to providing a service or volunteerism to youth participants.

PUSH Athletix is a nonprofit organization committed to providing quality educational enrichment and sports programs for youth, ages 6-18 in the Houston, Texas and its surrounding areas. We serve a diverse population through a variety of affordable or free outdoor recreational activities, before and after school, sports programs, educational services and special events.

Research also shows that today’s children and youth represent the single largest cohort of young people in history.  There are 2.2 billion children and 1.5 billion youth in the world today. Early childhood and adolescence are critical periods in a young person’s life and their experiences in these formative phases can have a lasting impact on their life prospects. To maximize the opportunity that the young cohort presents, it is important to invest in and support today’s children and youth. In communities where children do not have an optimal start in life, community programs can provide positive experiences for children and support for parents.
